Denise's Bio/Testimony

Denise Hillery Jones,

President of Non-Profit Organization Fitness for Christ Weight Loss Ministries Member of the  Mt. Zion Baptist Church in  Pleasantville, New Jersey Under the Leadership of Dr. Winfred J. Sanders

Denise was morbidly obese, weighing close to 300 pounds. Her life was descending on a 737 unhealthy flight, preparing to crash and burn into a sea of disease. She was constantly battling the fat demon, losing every round to self-destruction.

It started with what can be described as a devastating car accident. After x-rays and an examination by an orthopedic doctor at the emergency room, she was then sent to the operating room to get a steel pin drilled straight through her right knee with 40 pound weights attached. The medical records stated her nerves were intact but it also revealed She had suffered dislocated right hip also.

After two months of total bed confinement with a steel pin in her knee and in a skeletal traction, the doctor prescribed her first cat scan. The CAT scan revealed pertinent and different information. Her ball joint was shattered leaving fragments and her hip was dislocated. She was then sent to a hospital in Philadelphia to get a total hip replacement. It was then made clear that the steel pin would never have healed her fragmented bones.

Denise suffered for two months because the wrong test was taken. Because of the wrong Prognosis and delayed Diagnosis, she laid Confined on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and then on to Easter in severe and excruciating pain. This ordeal has of course, changed her forever. Her right knee is permanently damaged from the skeletal pin that was drilled through it. As a result she developed sciatic nerve damage and then came Foot Drop, Bed Sores, and Bruises from the IV’S and 120 Needles.

By 2004, her right knee become so weak that she then had Developed a permanent limp. Denise left the hospital now physically handicapped. She gives thanks to the grace of God and to her personal perseverance Her determination and persistence. She co-founded “Fitness For Christ”, and is forever blessed. She is now more mobile the ever and has even received a Certification from The Billie Banks Tae Bo® Aerobics for Rehabilitation Association, As a certified Tae Bo® instructor, She is qualified to assist all but she is especially dedicated to helping the disabled in overcoming their handicaps and to reach their fullest physical capacity.

She recently lost her mother to multiple deadly diseases. Mother and daughter were the dynamic duo. On her mother's deathbed, she asks Mrs. Jones to continue reaching out to the world concerning health, wellness and obesity.

Fulfilling her mother's quest, Denise is now a miracle woman, known as the Weight Loss Angel. She lost 125 pounds naturally. Her mission is to heighten your mind, body and spirit to transform, renew and empower unhealthy individuals to save their own lives.

The Angel is a motivational speaker and Director, Producer and creator of the inspirational drama presentations,Mrs. Obestity Jones and Her Battle with the Fat Demon. Her true life story has been presented live on stage in many venues and debuted at the Freedom Theater in Philadelphia.

This successful drama presentation that has motivated and inspired many people is now on DVD. Denise has her B.A. Degree in Human Services, a graduate of Melvin Floyd School of Evangelism and is a health ambassador for Search Your Heart, a health minister for Hallelujah Acres, a certified Tae Bo Instructor under Mr. Billy Blanks, weight loss coach and fitness trainer.

The Weight Loss Angel is a radio host of Fit for the Kingdom Wellness Show along with Doctor Tom Miller every Friday night at 8 p.m. on WEHA 88.7 FM live and on the worldwide web. Her dramatic story has been on the radio, in newspapers and magazines. The organization has aired on WWJT, TV-40, WMCM, TV-1 and performed at the Mayor's office in the Philadelphia Health Department. They have traveled to churches, schools, seminars, conferences and health fairs and are currently working with Health Wise and Fit for Life and Children's Health Insurance program.

The newest credit to this Weight loss Angel is her column called “Inspiration of Good Health and Better Living” which can be read every month in the  250,000 Subscribed magazine called Trendsetters to Trendsetters Magazine which is based out of Atlanta, Georgia
